A round table dedicated to important political events in the life of Uzbekistan was held in China

A round table with the participation of compatriots dedicated to important political events in our country was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China.

On April 30, 2023, the conference participants were provided with information about a significant historical event in the life of our country – a national referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Uzbekistan. The active participation of our citizens, in particular compatriots abroad, in the referendum was noted, which is a practical proof of how much the political consciousness, legal culture and worldview of our people have increased in the following years.

During the meeting following the results of the referendum on May 8 of this year, it was noted that in accordance with the relevant articles of the updated Constitution and the Electoral Code of Uzbekistan, early elections of the President of Uzbekistan will be held on July 9.

 Compatriots were told in detail about the candidates nominated for the post of head of state by political parties registered in Uzbekistan and their programs. During the event, it was reported that 56 precinct election commissions holding presidential elections have been established for Uzbek citizens abroad at 39 diplomatic and other representations of our country abroad, and the Doone News Agency has developed an interactive map indicating the addresses of these precincts.

At the end of the meeting, compatriots were invited, in connection with the upcoming important political event in the life of our country, to actively vote at 3 polling stations (Beijing - 49, Shanghai – 50, Guangzhou - 51), organized at the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in China, from June 28 to July 5, using their political rights.
