This confirms that today Uzbekistan is entering a new historical period of its development.
In recent years, deep comprehensive reforms have been carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. These positive transformation processes bring new vitality and energy to the country.
In an interview with the correspondent of the news agency "Doona", some participants of the briefing shared their opinions:
Vice-President of the Chinese Academy of International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Rong Ying:
- The briefing organized at the Embassy with the participation of Akmal Saidov made it possible to understand the essence and significance of the ongoing large-scale reforms in the field of politics, economy and social life in Uzbekistan. We have received up-to-date information about Uzbekistan and its domestic policy.
I believe that the construction of a New Uzbekistan is not only important, but also has a great impact on the situation in Central Asia.
In this regard, China, as a neighboring state, is ready to continue supporting reforms in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that China and Uzbekistan are good neighbors and partners. Since the first days of establishing relations, our countries have been closely cooperating on the basis of mutual consideration of interests and mutual respect. I am sure that Chinese-Uzbek ties will continue to strengthen.
Thus, during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China in May this year, the leaders of our countries identified important areas of bilateral cooperation. The implementation of bilateral agreements at the highest level will contribute to the further development and prosperity of Uzbekistan and China, as well as the Central Asian region as a whole.
Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in China Jamshid Sulaimanov:
- I took part in a briefing organized at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, which was dedicated to the updated Constitution of Uzbekistan and the upcoming presidential elections in our country.
Akmal Saidov and Zhong Ying brought to the guests important information about the reforms being carried out in our country. Indeed, 2023 has become an important year in the life of our people. In particular, on April 30, a referendum was held on updating our Constitution, which also reflected the basic principles of the activities of the mass media in Uzbekistan.
Another important event in the political life of our country will be the upcoming presidential elections of Uzbekistan on July 9.
I am sure that the briefing held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing allowed our compatriots, as well as the expert community of China, to learn more deeply and understand the essence and significance of the important socio-political events taking place in our country.
