The participation of observers from international organizations and foreign countries is an important factor in holding elections transparently and in accordance with democratic international requirements.
Through elections, citizens directly participate in the management of society and state affairs, directly expressing their will to form state bodies in a democratic way.
Particular attention was paid to this in the interim report of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR) on early presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As noted, to date, the CEC has registered 107 international observers. The legal foundations and all the necessary conditions have been created for holding the upcoming presidential elections on the basis of democratic principles - freely, fairly and at a high organizational and legal level in accordance with national and generally recognized international norms.
In turn, by bringing electoral legislation and practice in line with generally accepted international democratic standards, it is possible to ensure a broader and more comprehensive provision of citizens' electoral rights. Therefore, the proposals and recommendations of international observers are gradually being introduced into the national electoral legislation.
