On June 28, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Heads of State warmly congratulated each other and the fraternal peoples of the two countries on the holy holiday of Kurban Hayit, expressing sincere wishes for peace, well-being and prosperity.
Topical issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation and strengthening of comprehensive strategic partnership relations were discussed.
The high dynamics and fruitful nature of practical cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were noted.
In our country, the active implementation of major investment projects with the participation of leading Turkish companies continues. About 100 new joint ventures have been created since the beginning of the year.
The intergovernmental Agreement on preferential Trade comes into force on July 1 of this year, which will further increase the volume of mutual trade. The frequency of flights between the cities of the two countries is growing.
During the conversation, the sides also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.
The schedule of upcoming events at the highest level is considered. The importance of careful preparation of the agenda of the next meeting of the top-level Strategic Cooperation Council of Uzbekistan and Turkey was particularly noted.
