At the Embassy of our country in China, the national award "Oltin Kalam" ("Golden Pen") in the nomination "For the best material of foreign journalists about Uzbekistan" was solemnly presented to the editor of the Chinese publishing house "Renmin Huabao" San Haoyang, who took first place in the 17th International Competition.
It should be noted that the winner of this competition is awarded with a special diploma, a badge "Oltin Kalam", a statuette and a cash prize.
Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan Kholmurod Salimov, who spoke at the ceremony, said that this year's competition is based on the implementation of the decision of the head of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev of June 27, 2022 "On measures to support the media and the development of journalism" based on democratic principles.
He stressed that more than 50 foreign journalists from 25 countries of the world took part in the competition. Detailed information was also provided on the large-scale reforms carried out in all spheres in our country.
During the meeting, issues of development of cooperation between the media of the two countries, exchange of best practices were also discussed.
"In recent years, I have been preparing materials with great interest about the reforms being effectively implemented in Uzbekistan, and through the Chinese media I have introduced this to our public," said San Haoyang. "It was very pleasant for me to become the winner of the prestigious international competition "Oltin Kalam", because anyone is happy when he succeeds."
