President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyz Republic) on June 2 to participate in the next summit in the format "Central Asia – European Union".
The event is expected to be attended by the heads of state of our region and the President of the European Council Charles Michel.
The agenda includes issues of further development of constructive dialogue and expansion of practical cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the European Union.
The focus will be on topical aspects of increasing mutual trade using the GSP+ regime, creating favorable conditions and promoting investment and innovative projects, introducing green energy, unlocking the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, partnerships in the field of digital interconnectedness, ecology, tourism, culture and other areas.
A number of bilateral meetings are also planned on the sidelines of the summit.
It should be noted that the first regional meeting in this format was held on October 27, 2022 in Astana.
