Measures to reduce poverty and ensure employment of the population are presented

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shaikhantakhur district of Tashkent in order to familiarize himself with the living conditions of the population and the ongoing creative work.

The Head of State got acquainted with the work of the vocational guidance center, which opened in the Samarkand Darvoz mahalla. Here, young people and women are trained in modern professions in the field of trade, marketing, finance and information technology. In the future, graduates will be assisted in finding a high-paying job. The area around the center is landscaped, grapes are planted.

A presentation of measures to reduce poverty and ensure employment of the population took place here. At a meeting on these issues held on May 10, it was proposed to encourage entrepreneurs to create new jobs.

For example, 51 mahallas are located in Shaikhantakhur district. There are more than 100 entrepreneurs with high potential. On the basis of the contract, the unemployed are assigned to them in the mahalla. The state will create conditions, and entrepreneurs will train the population in professions and provide jobs.

"It is beneficial for both sides," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. - Now many entrepreneurs want to expand their activities, everyone needs qualified workers. Our goal is to let enterprises turn into practical mono–centers and train specialists for the field. The state will provide the necessary infrastructure, financial and tax benefits. Due to the increase in jobs and the growth of the purchasing power of the population, these investments will eventually return to the economy. Most importantly, this practice will not only allow young people to acquire a profession, but will also become a school of life.

During the presentation, proposals on the use of the tourist potential of Shaikhantakhur were also considered. It was noted that the khokims of the districts of the capital should study the experience of South Korea, Singapore and other countries.

The Head of State also visited the sports and recreation complex of the center, which has an indoor swimming pool and a gym.
