The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed issues of further deepening of strategic partnership

Issues of further deepening comprehensive strategic partnership relations and promoting priority projects of practical cooperation were discussed during a telephone conversation between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on May 2.

The Turkish leader sincerely congratulated the head of our state on the successful holding of the national referendum on constitutional reform, warmly wishing the fraternal people of Uzbekistan well-being, progress and prosperity.

During the conversation, the importance of the speedy implementation of priority investment projects in our country with the participation of leading Turkish companies was noted.

The issues of preparation for the next meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council were discussed.

At the end of the conversation, the head of Uzbekistan wished the Turkish leader success in the upcoming presidential elections in mid-May this year.
