On October 4, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the leading Korean company "SK Group" headed by its Chairman, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Korea Che Tae Won.

On October 4, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of new initiatives to improve the quality of vocational education and training of the population in professions.

For many centuries, tolerance flourished on the Great Silk Road, the heart of which was the territory of modern Uzbekistan, which served as a link between East and West. At the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to this country on October 5-7.

The transport and logistics potential of Central Asia has always played a significant role in ensuring the development and well-being of the countries of the region. Everyone understands the importance of the Great Silk Road, which connected East Asia with the Mediterranean. This caravan road contributed to the development of cities, ensuring interethnic, interstate economic, cultural and spiritual relations in the region.  

The 25th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is scheduled for October 16-20 this year in Samarkand. For the first time in history, Uzbekistan will host this important biennial gathering of member states and affiliate members of UNWTO.

A major event awaits the cultural life of the capital - the Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road", revived on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The event will be held in Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand from September 29 to October 2. 

From September 16 to 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the activities of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. On September 19, the head of our state delivered a speech during the general debate of the plenary session of the General Assembly, in which he presented his vision on pertinent regional and global agenda items.
