The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey held a telephone conversation

During a telephone conversation on the evening of April 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere gratitude to President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for presenting the first Turkish electric car under the brand "Togg".

The leader of our country also congratulated the President and the fraternal people of Turkey on a great technological breakthrough – the launch of industrial production of modern electric vehicles in the country.

During the conversation, a high assessment was given to the current level of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.

Opportunities for further expansion of the scale of industrial cooperation between the leading companies of Uzbekistan and Turkey in high-tech industries were noted.

Particular attention is paid to the thorough preparation of the meeting of the bilateral Strategic Cooperation Council of the highest level scheduled for this year.

There was also an exchange of views on topical issues of the regional agenda.

At the end of the telephone conversation, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed full support and wished success to the upcoming referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
