President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation on the concept of the New Tashkent city project and construction sites in the capital.
On March 18, the head of our state launched the implementation of the New Tashkent project. At today's presentation, issues related to the implementation of its first stage were considered.
At this stage, it is planned to build apartment buildings for 60 thousand residents, administrative buildings of government departments, parks, social and economic facilities. A directorate was created to design and coordinate all the work. The experience of urbanization and construction in foreign megacities has been studied.
The concept of building a New Tashkent was developed on the basis of 5 functions: administrative, economic, educational, medical and cultural. Accordingly, the relevant departments and institutions included in their system will be located in the city.
During the presentation, information about the "roadmap" of design and construction works is also presented. To implement such a huge project, first of all it is necessary to prepare the infrastructure. It was noted that modern approaches to urbanization, "smart" technologies will be used. For example, it is planned to build a trigeneration station, which, in addition to generating electricity, will heat buildings in winter and cool them in summer. All electrical, communication networks, gas and water pipes are planned to be laid underground.
Infrastructure, living space and ecology will be balanced in the city. The Tashkent Green Belt project is also starting here. Comfortable conditions will be created for the free movement of pedestrians and cyclists. For this purpose, underground parking for cars, 14 modern tunnels, 7 bridges over the Chirchik and Karasu rivers will be built.
The Head of our state stressed the need to establish the principle of "human dignity" in the future city, taking into account the needs of people of all ages, creating the necessary amenities. An instruction is given on the location of objects in such a way that it is convenient for operation and traffic, paying special attention to the creation of green zones.
Proposals for the placement of trade and service facilities under the overpasses of the Tashkent elevated metro were also considered. In particular, there is a free space with a length of 4 kilometers on the section of the line running through the territory of the Yashnabad district. Green zones, parking lots, workout areas, trade and service points can be created here. The experience of the city of Berlin on the use of space under elevated metro lines is considered.
The President instructed to divide these plots into lots and offer them for rent to entrepreneurs, create additional amenities for the population, providing for all security measures.
