The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of developing innovative cooperation with the UAE

Prospects for the implementation of specific projects and programs in the field of high technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization, modernization of urban infrastructure, disclosure of trade and investment potential of regions and other issues were discussed during the meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a delegation of the United Arab Emirates headed by the Minister of Government Affairs Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Gergawi, held on 4 April.

The Head of our state stressed that these areas should form the future agenda of the upcoming bilateral summit at the highest level.

In addition, they expressed interest in further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in such areas as improving the effectiveness of ongoing reforms, training professional management personnel and programmers, the introduction of e-government and other areas.

Minister Al-Gergawi conveyed to the Head of our State the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Emirates Sheikh Muhammad Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister of the country, Emir of Dubai Sheikh Muhammad Al Maktoum.

Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan gave instructions to update the roadmap, which provides for accelerating the implementation of current programs and the preparation of promising projects.

In conclusion, Minister Al-Gergawi was awarded a high state award – the Order of "Dostlik" for his great contribution to the deepening of Uzbek-Emirati multifaceted relations and full support for the reform program in the New Uzbekistan.
