Kegeyli women got a job at a modern enterprise

The trip of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Karakalpakstan began with the Aktuba Textile enterprise in the Kegeyli district.

Previously, there was no industrial production in this area. The results of the ongoing work on structural transformations in the economy, interregional cooperation are embodied here. In particular, in the district, together with entrepreneurs, Andijan entrepreneurs have implemented three projects.

Among them is the company "Aktobe Textile", capable of producing more than 3 million knitwear per year. The company has installed modern equipment from Germany, Japan and Turkey. 500 jobs have been created. It is planned to export products worth $ 6 million per year.

The President got acquainted with the production process, talked with the workers. Stressing the special importance of the emergence of such enterprises in remote areas and ensuring the employment of women in them, he instructed the responsible persons to continue working in this direction.

The company has organized a retraining center. Here unemployed residents of nearby mahallas will be trained in professions.
