The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of expanding practical cooperation with the regions of China

The issues of establishing mutually beneficial practical cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were discussed at the meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of XUAR Ma Sinzhui, held on March 29.

The focus was on the implementation of joint cooperation projects in the field of renewable energy, the development of transport infrastructure, the creation of industrial parks and agricultural clusters in the regions of Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Chinese companies.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ma Xingjui conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes of Chinese President Xi Jinping, as well as his words of gratitude for the warm congratulations on his re-election as the head of China.

During the conversation, the fruitful results of the historic summit in the city of Samarkand in September last year, which marked the beginning of a new era of Uzbek-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership, were noted with deep satisfaction.

Mutual interest in accelerating the construction of the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan–China railway was emphasized.

Broad opportunities were noted for expanding the multifaceted cooperation of Tashkent, Samarkand and other regions of Uzbekistan with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, including in the field of trade, logistics, medicine, the agricultural sector, tourism and education.

The Head of our state has given instructions to intensify mutual contacts and exchanges, organize visits and business forums, as well as adopt a separate "roadmap" to promote priority projects and programs.
