The Presidents of Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation

On March 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Head of our state cordially congratulated the President of the UAE on his birthday, warmly wishing him good health and well-being, great success in state activities, as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly people of this country.

During the conversation, prospects for further expansion of multifaceted cooperation were discussed, primarily in the areas of trade, investment, innovation and high technology, green energy, agriculture, logistics and transport.

It was noted with satisfaction that in recent years there has been a dynamic development of Uzbek-Emirati relations. Over the past year, the volume of mutual trade has doubled. There are 240 joint ventures operating in Uzbekistan, the project portfolio has exceeded $ 3 billion.

Mutual interest was noted in the implementation of new cooperation projects in the field of petrochemistry, food industry, infrastructure development, mining and metallurgical industries, as well as the expansion of programs of financial and technical cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The telephone conversation between the leaders of Uzbekistan and the UAE took place in a traditionally open, warm and friendly atmosphere.
