The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of further expanding the portfolio of practical cooperation with Azerbaijan

On February 23, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Co-Chairman of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission Mikail Jabbarov, who arrived in our country at the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to participate in the first meeting of the joint Forum of Regions and the meeting of the Business Council.

The issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level were considered.

At the beginning of the meeting, Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the head of our state.

During the conversation, progress in the implementation of cooperation projects in the automotive industry, textile industry and sericulture was noted with particular satisfaction. An agreement on the establishment of a joint investment fund is being signed. Promising projects in the oil and gas sector, transport and logistics are being prepared.

The importance of further increasing the portfolio of practical cooperation between the two countries, including within the framework of the ongoing localization program, was emphasized.
