New enterprises have been put into operation, further tasks in the industry have been identified

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on the development of industry and improvement of energy supply in the Bukhara region.

At the beginning of the meeting, the launch ceremony of 6 new enterprises took place. These are the enterprises “Gijduvon ipak tola” in Gijduvan district, "Laichter Kamalak Textilen” in Bukhara, “Arzhumandbonu chorvasi” in Jandar district, “Usmon Sher Shamshod” in Gijduvan district, “VBM Romitex” in Romitan district and a four-star hotel in Bukhara. 3.5 thousand new jobs are being created in enterprises operating in the sectors of sericulture, textile industry, poultry farming, fruit and vegetable processing, as well as tourism. In general, as a result of the launch of these capacities, the production of the region will increase by 850 billion soums.

The head of our state pressed a symbolic button and officially launched new enterprises. There was a conversation with their leaders via video link.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to improving the energy supply of Bukhara.

It is estimated that the annual electricity consumption in Bukhara in 2023 will amount to 4.3 billion kilowatt-hours with an expected deficit of 150 million kilowatt-hours. In this regard, the need to create additional and increase the efficiency of existing capacities was emphasized.

Bukhara has a hot climate. Using this, it is possible to install solar panels with a capacity of 22 MW at 740 enterprises and with a capacity of 11 MW at social facilities and multi-storey buildings.

It is indicated that it is possible to reduce electricity losses by 50 million kilowatt-hours by updating electrical networks, replacing equipment with high energy consumption at 45 large industrial enterprises. In particular, by updating the frequency-regulating devices at the Amu-Bukhara pumping station, 60 million kilowatt-hours of energy can be saved this year and 100 million kilowatt-hours next year.

It was noted at the meeting that it is necessary to use new reserves in the districts and develop industry.

Over the past five years, 31 trillion soums of investments have been attracted to Bukhara, more than 3 thousand enterprises have been launched. Production increased 4.3 times. In 2022, this figure amounted to 27 trillion soums. Industrial exports reached $200 million.

This year, 703 enterprises worth $880 million are planned to be launched in Bukhara and 15,000 jobs will be created. 220 million dollars of loans are allocated for these projects, 100 billion soums for their infrastructure.

The President instructed each khokim of the district to find additional reserves, attract at least $ 50 million in investments and increase the number of new projects.
