The memory of the First President is honored

January 30, Tashkent city. By tradition, on this day, the general public gathered in the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov.

The complex was visited by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He laid flowers at the foot of the monument to Islam Karimov.

The memory of the First President of our country was also honored by representatives of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration and the Government, scientists and cultural figures, intellectuals.

To cherish the memory of the selfless sons of the people, to honor their good deeds are our national values. They serve as an example and a guide for future generations.

Today's ceremony has also become the embodiment of such high respect. Verses from the Koran were read, duas were pronounced. They talked about the historical merits of the First President for the benefit and in the interests of our people, his noble human qualities.

The Head of State got acquainted with the progress of work on the creation of the Islam Karimov Museum in the complex.

Flower-laying ceremonies at the monuments of Islam Karimov were also held in the cities of Samarkand and Karshi.
