Following the negotiations, a signing ceremony and exchange of documents took place within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Sadyr Japarov signed a Declaration that takes bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level of comprehensive strategic partnership.
The exchange of signed interstate, intergovernmental, interdepartmental and interregional agreements also took place in the presence of the heads of State. A total of 25 documents were signed, including:
- Protocol on the exchange of Instruments of Ratification of the Agreement on Certain Sections of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State Border;
- Agreement on cooperation in the organization of production of automotive and commercial equipment in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Strategic Trade and Economic Partnership Program for 2023-2025;
- Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Emergency Prevention and Response;
- Protocol to the Agreement on Mutual Trips of Citizens;
- Protocol on amendments to the Memorandum on the establishment of the Council of Heads of Border Regions.
The ministries and departments signed agreements on cooperation in the fields of agriculture, energy, customs, development of priority areas of industry, innovation and research, youth support, as well as a plan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Comprehensive programs have also been signed to expand cooperation for 2023-2025 between the Jizzakh region and Issyk-Kul region, Andijan Region and Osh region, Ferghana Region and Batken region, Namangan Region and Jalal-Abad region.
