The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been recognized as the "Best Museum of the Turkic World" by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).
This was announced by the organization's Secretary General, Sultan Rayev, at an international scientific conference dedicated to the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur's birth.
Constructed in a short period of time at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Center is today regarded not only as a unique architectural structure but also as a symbolic bridge connecting the civilizations of the East and West. Through its concept, content, and scientific and educational focus, it vividly demonstrates the creative and humanistic potential of Islamic civilization. During the award ceremony for the "Best Museum" certificate, Sultan Rayev emphasized the President of Uzbekistan's policy of in-depth study of the legacy of Islamic civilization and its promotion on the international stage:
"Thanks to the special attention of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the legacy of Amir Temur and Islamic culture are now being comprehensively studied. New scientific and artistic works are being created, and modern scientific and educational centers are being built. I can confidently say that such a Center is unique in the world. It is undoubtedly a vivid embodiment of the ideas of the Third Renaissance. Often, the world limits itself to mere statements. However, Uzbekistan sets an example through real actions and concrete results."
In turn, the Director of the Center, F. Abdukhalikov, noted:
"The Center, created according to the original concept of the esteemed President, has today become one of the most prestigious megaprojects in the Turkic world. The head of state personally oversaw all stages of its construction. Today, every visitor leaves the Center with profound impressions and inspiration." He also emphasized that the international community's interest in the Center's activities continues to grow. In particular, the Hungarian government has expressed interest in studying the Center's experience and implementing a similar project. The leadership of the German state of Bavaria, for its part, has expressed its willingness to support initiatives to promote Islam through education.
"As is well known, TURKSOY unites the states of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey, and is rightfully called the "UNESCO of the Turkic world." Today, the museum heritage of these countries comprises approximately 1,300 museums. The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, thanks to its creative vision, profound concept, and innovative solutions, has rightfully been recognized by the international community," added F. Abdukhalikov.
