Bukhara’s new administrative center reflects a people-centered policy

During his visit to Bukhara, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed ongoing development work at the new administrative center of Bukhara region.

This complex continues the practice of integrating government bodies, first tested in Kukdala district of Kashkadarya region. There, 38 state institutions were located in one place, creating significant convenience for the population. Citizens who previously had to travel long distances and apply to various authorities gained the opportunity to resolve all their issues in a single, convenient location.

During his visit to Kukdala last year, the President noted that such an approach should become a model for all districts. Since then, based on this experience, development work has also begun in other regions.

Specifically, the administrative center in Bukhara covers an area of 14 hectares. At the first stage, the regional and city administrations, the regional prosecutor’s office, the department of internal affairs, and other agencies are located here. This primarily serves to enhance coordination among local executive authorities, accelerate the processing of applications, and improve the quality of public services.

The complex is not limited to administrative buildings. Alleys, fountains, and green spaces are being created for the leisure of residents and visitors to the city.

The President reviewed development work in the new regional administration building.

It was emphasized that efforts to consolidate state bodies into single administrative centers should be consistently continued to enhance convenience for the public and ensure access to necessary services in one place, without the need to travel to multiple locations.

The President was also presented with information on ongoing efforts to support the socio-economic development of the area and create more favorableconditions for the population.

In particular, it was reported that banks, using artificial intelligence, conducted a mahalla-level analysis, using Bukhara district as an example, which helped identify key growth points. This analysis enabled an integrated assessment of land, water, and labor resources, market demand, infrastructure, and existing production capacity. As a result, agribusiness, tourism, industry, and roadside services were identified as the most promising sectors for Bukhara district.

Specifically, opportunities were highlighted to develop 15,000 hectares of land, establish 500 hectares of new vineyards, expand wine tourism, and implement new projects in the oil and gas, chemical, construction, and food industries. According to the analysis, projects worth 7.4 trillion soums could be implemented in these sectors between 2026 and 2031, creating 15,000 new jobs.

It was also noted that 36 mahallas in the district can specialize in six key areas: viticulture, fruit and vegetable growing, animal husbandry, horticulture, tourism, and services. To accelerate the development and implementation of projects at the mahalla level, AI-based solutions are being developed to build a resource base, automatically prepare business plans, direct financing, and monitor results in real time.

The President emphasized the importance of using artificial intelligence to unlock the potential of each territory, develop result-oriented projects, and support initiatives that promote employment growth and higher incomes.
