The President begins his visit to Syrdarya

On December 4, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev began his visit to Syrdarya region. His first stop was the “River Med Pharm” company in Syrdarya district.

This pharmaceutical company is one of the leading producers of infusion solutions. Today it accounts for 20 percent share in the total volume of infusion solutions produced in Uzbekistan

These medicines are considered among the most vital medical products. Their production requires more complex technological solutions than manufacturing standard tablets, as the solution directly enters the bloodstream. Therefore, they must be manufactured in completely sterile conditions, with high precision, and in full compliance with international standards.

The total project cost exceeds $30 million, and the company currently employs 750 people. It produces 114 million units of 70 types of medical products annually, totaling 135 billion soums. They are highly demanded in international market, 20 percent of the products are exported.

In November this year, the second phase of the project was launched, further increasing production capacity. The volume of production will reach 30 million units of infusion solutions, over 70 million units of dry antibiotics, and nearly 20 million units of eye and nasal drops.

The Head of State reviewed the products and the presentation on the next phase of the project.

In the future, the company's product range will be expanded to 200 items. At this stage, the company will master the production of injectable solutions in glass and plastic vials, as well as tablets and capsules. The number of jobs will be increased to 1 thousand.

The President also spoke here with community activists.

An open discussion was held on important issues related to the economy, industry, agriculture, youth education, and the region's future. The Head of State emphasized that citizens’ initiative is a crucial factor in enhancing the effectiveness of reforms.

- Changes must be felt, first and foremost, in the mahallas. You should constantly communicate with people and guide the youth on the right path. If we all will be active, our actions and the ongoing reforms will definitely yield results. We are here in Syrdarya with ambitious plans. Together we will discuss and implement these plans, - noted  the President.
