Yangi Street Uzbekistan will be a harmonious combination of nature and culture

On September 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with construction and landscaping projects on Yangi Uzbekiston Street in Tashkent.

The avenue, 11 kilometers long and 86 meters wide, has become one of the largest infrastructure initiatives in recent years. The growing importance of the street is due to the expansion of the city and the increasing tourist potential of the Tashkent region.

In accordance with the decree of the head of state dated June 30, 2022, it is planned to create a business center and a developed roadside infrastructure on the street. To implement these tasks, a special directorate was organized and an architectural concept was developed.

According to the project, modern residential buildings made in the national style, as well as hotels, shopping, entertainment and service complexes will be built on both sides of the street. Parks, walking and cycling paths will be organized, creating favorable conditions for residents and guests of the capital.

In addition, the Tashkent-Vostochny airport and the Olympic Town, which are currently under construction, will be located along the street. The President instructed to pay special attention to landscaping the area around these facilities and adjacent roads.

During the current visit, proposals for the landscaping of the street were considered. According to the project, ornamental trees and shrubs such as plane trees, oak, tulip tree, catalpa, plum pisardia, cypress, Indian lilac, lavender and Syrian rose will be planted along the street. Two fountains are planned to be built in front of the airport. In general, this territory will become part of the "green belt" of Tashkent.

The President expressed his recommendations on landscape composition and stressed that ecology and cultural elements should be harmoniously combined here, forming a unique space for citizens and tourists.
