President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the modernization project of Namangan International Airport.
The way from the Ferghana Valley to other regions of our country lies through the pass and trains are not available in all directions. Therefore, life itself dictates the need to improve the airport infrastructure, which will give a powerful incentive to the development of business, transport services and tourism.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a cargo terminal, catering and refueling complexes, and other utility buildings. It is also expected to increase the capacity of the passenger terminal to 1 thousand people per hour. The cargo terminal will strengthen the potential in the fields of business, export and transit.
In addition, the project provides for the renewal of the fleet of special equipment, which will allow receiving and servicing aircraft of any type.
The Head of State gave instructions on improving the efficiency of the airport, stressed the need to increase local and international flights, and make full use of logistical opportunities. One of the main tasks should be to ensure the affordability of tickets.
With this, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev completed his trip to Namangan and returned to Tashkent.
