President Shavkat Mirziyoyev left for the Syrdarya region on March 14 to familiarize himself with the living conditions of the population.
On the way, the head of state had a sincere conversation with the chairman of the Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan, Mufti Nuriddin Kholiknazarov. They talked about the ongoing work in the spiritual and educational sphere, the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan.
As you know, on March 11, the Muslims of our country, like the entire Islamic Ummah around the world, welcomed this blessed month with joy. Our compatriots who hold the fast perform their religious rites in peace and prosperity. The Koran is read in mosques, and prayers for peace, abundance and prosperity are offered for the benefit of our people.
The Mufti noted that in these bright days such qualities as tolerance and generosity are even more clearly manifested, our compatriots strive to multiply good deeds at the call of their hearts.
The President shared his views on how to spend this month with dignity, on the need to appreciate peace in our country and strengthen the atmosphere of kindness and mutual assistance. It was emphasized that the policy of elevating human honor and dignity, ensuring the interests of the people, and supporting those in need will be continued.
The development of entrepreneurship and the full use of the opportunities of homesteads and households are noted as an important aspect of improving the standard of living of the rural population. It was said about the importance of educating young people with educated, enlightened and patriotic personalities, instilling in them diligence in study and work.
