The issues of defense construction and development of the Armed Forces are considered

On February 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was informed about the implementation of the instructions given at the expanded meeting of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The report of the Minister of Defense was heard on the progress of the tasks set and the work being carried out to further improve the combat readiness and combat capability of the troops, equip them with modern weapons and military equipment, improve the activities of the sergeant corps of the Armed Forces and patriotic education of young people.

In particular, in a short time, work has been carried out to improve regulatory legal acts concerning the improvement of combat readiness of troops and training of military personnel, strengthening military discipline in units and subunits.

Special attention was paid to measures to digitalize the activities of the troops. The ongoing work on the phased introduction of modern automated command and control systems, as well as the improvement of the communication system, was emphasized.

The importance of continuing work on improving the structure of the Armed Forces, equipping the national army with modern weapons and military equipment, as well as the development of the military-industrial complex was noted.

Following the results of the report, the head of state gave a number of instructions on further improving the activities of the Armed Forces and increasing the country's defense capability.
