President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the first International multisport tournament "Games of the Future" in Kazan.
The event, held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and other foreign guests.
The participants were shown a video showing the disciplines of the "Games of the Future", as well as a theatrical performance.
The Head of our state wished success to the participants and suggested holding the "Games of the Future" in 2026 in Uzbekistan.
After the ceremony, the distinguished guests visited the thematic exhibition. Information was provided on the concept of "digital sports", which combines competitions in virtual space and classical sports.
The leaders watched the esports competitions, the process of training in digital football, got acquainted with a number of art objects and stands telling about the current development and prospects of a new direction in sports.
"Games of the Future" is a high–tech sports show that includes hybrid sports competitions in classic sports and their digital counterparts. The "Games" will be held from February 21 to March 3, 2024.
The tournament is attended by almost 300 teams from more than 100 countries, including Uzbekistan. Our compatriots will perform in such sports as digital hockey, virtual cycling, and sports programming.
