The memory of the First President is honored

On January 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the foot of the monument to Islam Karimov in Tashkent.

There is no future without historical memory. We gratefully recall the historical achievements of the First President in Uzbekistan's independence and the building of the state.

Thanks to the attention of the head of our state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the memory of the First President was immortalized, his mausoleum was built. It has become a tradition to celebrate his birthday on January 30th.

Honoring the memory of the great sons of the fatherland is an important value of our people. This was embodied in today's memorial event. The verses of the Quran were read and duas were pronounced. It was said about the merits of Islam Karimov in ensuring the interests of our people, his human qualities.

The ceremony, held at the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov, was also attended by members of the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Government, scientists and cultural figures, and the city community.

Flowers were also laid at the foot of the monuments to the First President in the cities of Samarkand and Karshi.
