The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda

On January 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

Topical issues of further development and deepening of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

The Heads of State noted with particular satisfaction the current high level of bilateral relations of good neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership.

The importance of continuing close contacts and exchanges between the governments, departments, regions and business circles of the two countries was noted.

Joint activities aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade, promoting industrial cooperation projects in the automotive industry, electrical engineering and textile industries, agriculture and other priority areas, including within the framework of the joint Development Fund, were supported.

Special attention was paid to the expansion of the cultural and humanitarian cooperation program.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Central Asian region, and also reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings.
