The President of Uzbekistan congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on his birthday

On December 24, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The Head of our state cordially congratulated the leader of Azerbaijan on his birthday, sincerely wishing the well-being and prosperity of the fraternal Azerbaijani people.

The personal contribution and historical role of President Ilham Aliyev in ensuring the territorial integrity and rapid development of modern Azerbaijan were emphasized.

The heads of the two countries noted with deep satisfaction the current high level of Uzbek-Azerbaijani strategic partnership relations.

By the end of 2023, trade turnover increased by 30 percent, and promising cooperation projects are being actively prepared and implemented in the field of mechanical engineering, textile production, sericulture, agriculture, the oil and gas complex, tourism and many other industries.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan agreed to further develop 10 new areas of practical cooperation in a year of intensive development of bilateral relations.

The schedule of events for 2024 was also considered. The President of Uzbekistan wished the head of Azerbaijan a successful holding of the upcoming presidential elections in this country.
