The leaders of Uzbekistan and the UAE called for further expansion of the multifaceted partnership

On December 2, during his stay in Dubai, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The meeting was also attended by Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs Sheikh Seif Al Nahyan, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazroui, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies, President of the COP28 summit Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state warmly congratulated the leader and the friendly people of the Emirates on National Day, as well as on the successful organization of the global summit on climate change.

Topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed.  The stable dynamic development of the Uzbek-Emirati multifaceted relations was noted with deep satisfaction.

Since the beginning of the year, trade turnover has increased by 30 percent, the number of joint ventures and the frequency of direct flights are increasing. The portfolio of joint projects with the participation of leading companies of the two countries amounted to $ 4 billion.

The importance of continuing an active dialogue and careful preparation for upcoming events at the highest level was noted.

Mutual interest was confirmed in further expanding practical cooperation and bringing it to the level of a full-scale strategic partnership.
