The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Mongolia agreed on further steps to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation

On December 1, as part of the program of a working visit to the UAE, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuh.

Topical issues of further development of Uzbek-Mongolian relations of traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

Special attention is paid to the practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level reached at the meeting in Samarkand last September.

The positive dynamics in mutual trade was noted with satisfaction. There are wide opportunities and potential for cooperation in the field of animal husbandry, food, leather, agricultural, textile and other industries.

They expressed interest in improving the contractual and legal framework in such areas as automobile and air transport, tourist exchange, strengthening interregional and cultural and humanitarian ties.

It has been agreed to hold the first meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Committee and the Business Council next year.

It was agreed that following the results of this meeting, a "roadmap" for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation will be adopted.
