The state of readiness of the energy system for winter is considered

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Uzbekneftegaz Joint Stock Company on November 22 and got acquainted with the preparation of the energy system for the winter season.

Based on the conclusions drawn from the abnormal cold weather at the beginning of the year, measures were taken to increase the potential of the power system. Internal capabilities have been fully utilized, networks have been modernized. Large-scale work has been done together with foreign partners. Topical issues in institutions, enterprises and housing have been studied and resolved. These events covered every mahalla.

- This year, we have allocated 14.5 trillion soums from all sources to improve the energy system. Provided with everything necessary - raw materials, materials, equipment. Now the leaders of the sphere need to take full responsibility, plan everything clearly and ensure a guaranteed supply of energy," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Over the past period of this year, power generating facilities with a capacity of 675 megawatts have been put into operation. 100 substations, 11.5 thousand transformers and 34 thousand kilometers of networks have been updated throughout the country.

In order to ensure stable supply of natural gas to the population and enterprises, the issue of guaranteed gas supply of 5 billion cubic meters has been resolved. Sufficient gas reserves have been accumulated in underground storage facilities.

The President listened to the reports of responsible persons on the guaranteed provision of natural gas and electricity needs in the winter season.

The Minister of Energy reported on the work done this year at the expense of allocated funds, the volume of reserves created, the estimated daily need and sources of its satisfaction.

It was noted that from December 1, the power system will switch to round-the-clock operation. In the coming months, it is planned to put into operation 8 solar and wind power plants with a capacity of 1.7 thousand megawatts, as well as a gas turbine with a capacity of 500 megawatts in the Syr Darya. Production of 900 thousand tons of coal will begin at the Shargun deposit in Surkhandarya region.

There is also a sufficient reserve of liquefied gas, fuel oil, transformers, cables and other necessary spare parts.

The Head of our state stressed the importance of stable supply of energy resources, at the same time - ensuring payment discipline. Instructions are given to stop illegal connections, save energy resources during warm days.

The heads of joint-stock companies "Uztransgaz", "Hududgaztaminot", "Hududiy elektr stationari", "Issyklik elektr tarmoklari" also presented reports at the event.
