Construction of a small hydroelectric power station "Zarchob-3" has started in Saryasiysky district

The number of renewable energy sources is growing in our country. In particular, in hydropower, it is possible to repeatedly produce "green" energy based on the flow of one river.

Therefore, in accordance with the Presidential decree of October 17, 2017, the construction of small power plants has begun on the Tupalang River. In particular, in December 2020, Zarchob-1 hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 37 MW were commissioned, and in September 2021 — Zarchob-2 with a capacity of 38 MW. Today they produce enough electricity for 48 thousand households.

Another small hydroelectric power plant, Zarchob–3, was designed in the lower reaches of the river. The first stone in its construction was laid today during the visit of the head of our state.

The plant will have a capacity of 16 megawatts and produce 70 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. This is environmentally friendly and renewable energy. Also, since other capacities mainly generate electricity during the daytime, hydropower performs the function of normalizing the energy balance. The cost of electricity is also much cheaper compared to other sources.

According to the current system, river water under special pressure is first sent to the Tupalanga HPP. Then the flow will turn the turbines at the Zarchob stations, which are located close to each other.

In addition, ample opportunities are provided to the private sector for the construction of micro hydroelectric power plants. Legal and economic conditions have been created for this. In particular, a 20-year lease of land has been introduced by entrepreneurs wishing to build small and micro hydroelectric power plants, as well as a system of guaranteed purchase by the state of electricity produced by them.
