Italian President to pay official visit to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella will pay an official visit to our country on November 9-11.

In accordance with the program, negotiations at the highest level will take place.

The agenda includes issues of further development of Uzbek-Italian relations of strategic partnership and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas.

Particular attention will be paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Italy in June this year.

There will be an exchange of views on topical issues of international politics and regional cooperation.

Following the summit, a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be signed.

President Sergio Mattarella will also make trips to the cities of Samarkand and Khiva, where he will get acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
