The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation with Kazakhstan

On October 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov, who is in our country on a visit.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan conveyed to the head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the conversation, topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed. The consistent strengthening of the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance was emphasized with satisfaction. The indicators of mutual trade turnover and the number of joint ventures are steadily growing, industrial cooperation projects are being implemented in the automotive, textile, electrical engineering, logistics and other industries.

The fruitful results of the first meeting of the Interparliamentary Council held today between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan were particularly noted.

Special attention is paid to the importance of further development of close inter-parliamentary ties in order to unconditionally implement agreements at the highest level, expand interregional cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The exchange of experience in the field of legislative activity, the development of self-government bodies and youth support, including the organization of visits of delegations of young deputies, is designated as an important direction.
