The President of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Council

As part of the program of events of the visit to China, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Council Wang Huning.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Chinese side gave a high assessment and expressed sincere gratitude for the important initiatives put forward by the head of our state during the Third International Forum "Belts and Roads".

Prospects for further expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Chinese friendship relations and comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.

The current level of constructive political dialogue and mutual support within the framework of international organizations were noted with particular satisfaction.

The agreements reached during the summits in the cities of Samarkand and Xi'an are being consistently implemented. 

There is a positive trend in the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation. Interregional contacts have intensified. Only in recent months, Uzbekistan has been visited by delegations from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Shandong, Shaanxi, Jiangsu and Jiangxi provinces.

Special attention is paid to the activation of cultural and humanitarian ties and educational exchanges.
