The Kremlin hosted a meeting between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in a narrow format.
At the beginning of the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked Vladimir Putin for the traditionally warm welcome and hospitality, and also gave a high assessment of the current state of bilateral relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
The parties noted with satisfaction the dynamics of multifaceted Uzbek-Russian cooperation.
It was emphasized that in preparation for the current visit at the highest level, a number of events were successfully held, including the fourth meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of heads of government, a medical forum, forums of rectors and regions.
Industrial cooperation is developing dynamically. The volume of Russian investments in Uzbekistan is growing.
The Presidents stated the importance of further development of cooperation between the regions. Following the results of the third Interregional Cooperation Forum held in Kazan on October 4, agreements and contracts worth $ 3.5 billion were signed.
An agreement was reached on the preparation of a separate "Roadmap" of industrial cooperation in the context of regions with a schedule for organizing mutual visits for the year.
Also during the meeting, the issues of ensuring social guarantees for our citizens engaged in labor activity in Russia were discussed in detail.
On the eve of the All-Russian Exhibition Center, the opening of the renovated pavilion of Uzbekistan also took place.
The Presidents highly appreciated the rich and diverse cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Important cultural events have been organized: the premiere of the national ballet "Lazgi" in Moscow, Days of Uzbek cinema, events of the project "Russian Seasons" in our country.
The leaders of the two states agreed to adopt a rich Program of cultural cooperation for 2024-2025.
The Presidents exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
