The President of Uzbekistan held talks with the President of Tatarstan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in Kazan as part of his official visit to the Russian Federation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of our state noted with satisfaction the high results of fruitful cooperation achieved in recent years. The volume of mutual trade and investment is growing. The chemical-industrial technopark "Chirchik" is successfully operating in the Tashkent region, the construction of a technopark in the Jizzakh region continues.

Major cooperation projects in the chemical industry and mechanical engineering are also being implemented. There is a branch of Kazan Federal University in the city of Jizzakh.

The results of the third Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia held in Kazan on the eve were noted. In particular, agreements on the creation of new industrial parks in the regions of Uzbekistan jointly with the Russian technoparks "Alabuga" and "Master".

The issues of implementing promising cooperation projects in metalworking, information and communication industry, housing and communal services, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of education, tourism and youth policy were discussed.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the promotion of practical partnership projects in key areas based on joint roadmaps.
