The President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the sights of the Kazan Kremlin

In continuation of the program of visiting the Republic of Tatarstan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the state historical, Architectural and art museum-reserve "Kazan Kremlin".

The Kazan Kremlin is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is the oldest part of Kazan, which is a complex of architectural, historical and archaeological monuments that reveal the centuries-old history of the city.

Here the President of Uzbekistan visited the Kul Sharif mosque. Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin told the distinguished guest in detail about the history of the building. Dua was read.

The mosque was built in 1996-2005 in memory of the ancient cathedral mosque that existed on the territory of the Kazan Khanate until the second half of the XVI century, and named after Imam Kul Sharif.

The Head of our state also visited the Annunciation Cathedral, accompanied by Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan. This is the oldest building on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, built in the XVI century. It is a striking example of Pskov architecture.
