The President of Uzbekistan proposed to adopt a long-term investment program of partnership with the company "Nebras Power"

On October 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Board of the company "Nebras Power" Muhammad Al-Hajri upon arrival in Doha.

Nebras Power is a leading Qatari energy corporation. The company's portfolio includes major projects in more than 10 countries around the world.

During the meeting, practical aspects of the development of mutually beneficial cooperation to promote new projects in the field of energy, primarily alternative energy, were considered.

The Head of our state noted with satisfaction the beginning of the implementation with the participation of a Qatari company of a project for the construction of a modern power plant in the Syrdarya region based on combined-cycle gas technologies with a capacity of 1.6 GW.

The preparation of works on the construction project of a thermal power plant in Surkhandarya region is being completed.

Joint plans were discussed to create energy storage systems with a capacity of 600 MW in the Tashkent region and launch wind generation with a capacity of 1 GW in Karakalpakstan.

An agreement was reached on the adoption of a long-term partnership program with the inclusion of promising projects, primarily in the field of "green" energy.
