The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of expanding inter-parliamentary exchange with Kyrgyzstan

On September 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Torag Zhogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiyev, who is in our country on a visit.

Topical issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan conveyed to the head of our state the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

During the conversation, the current high level and fruitful nature of bilateral cooperation were noted with particular satisfaction. In particular, active contacts and exchanges are being carried out at different levels, the volume of trade and cargo transportation is growing, cooperation projects are being implemented, including with the involvement of investments of the joint fund.

The special role of the development of close inter-parliamentary ties in the expansion of multifaceted relations, the implementation of agreements at the highest level and the promotion of promising projects, the establishment of practical cooperation at the regional and business levels, as well as cultural and humanitarian events in the two countries was emphasized.

The importance of strengthening interaction and coordination within specialized international organizations was also noted.
