The President supported BYD's plans to organize full-scale production of cars in Uzbekistan

On September 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the leading Chinese company BYD headed by its president and founder Wang Chuanfu.

It should be noted that BYD is a global leader in the production of modern electric vehicles and a new generation of batteries. Producing up to 2 million cars a year, the Chinese concern sets the main trends in the development of the global automotive industry.

The meeting discussed practical aspects of expanding the company's activities in Uzbekistan, in particular, the issues of the early launch of a production site for hybrid and electric cars in the Jizzakh region
with an increase in capacity at subsequent stages up to 300 thousand cars.

Special attention is paid to the projects of localization of components and spare parts to reduce the cost of production, as well as the organization of export of cars to the markets of third countries.

Plans to supply BYD electric buses to our country with the creation of engineering and service centers were also supported.
