The President of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan

On September 22, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The Head of our state warmly congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him great success, as well as well-being and prosperity to the fraternal Turkmen people.

Topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed.

The development of constructive political dialogue and fruitful interdepartmental contacts was noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade is growing, the project of creating the border zone "Khorezm-Dashoguz" is being jointly implemented. Cooperation in the field of energy and transport is deepening. Days of Turkmen Culture will be held in our country in October.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also exchanged views on the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in Central Asia, including within the framework of existing multilateral formats.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the head of our state sincerely congratulated the President and the people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming Independence Day of the country.
