Proposals for the development of e-government are considered

On September 13, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of measures for the development of e-government.

Digitalization of economic sectors and social services is actively carried out in our country. Tasks in this direction are also defined in the recently adopted Strategy “Uzbekistan - 2030” – the goal is to enter the top 30 of the UN e-government Rating.

This international rating (e-Government Development Index) reflects the degree of development of e-government in the countries of the world and encourages the expansion of electronic dialogue between the state and the people, increasing the availability and convenience of using services, developing the investment attractiveness of the country. In recent years, Uzbekistan has consistently improved its position in this ranking and last year took 69th place.

To enter the top thirty of the rating with the participation of foreign experts, a “roadmap” has been developed, consisting of 53 events in 6 directions. Among other things, it provides for the improvement of 112 indicators in the field of online services, the launch and integration into the portal my.gov.uz 700 digital services in 2024, providing settlements and highways with high-speed Internet.

A Project office will be created under the Commission for the implementation of the Strategy “Uzbekistan - 2030” for scientific and legal support of these processes, interaction with partners.

The Head of our state approved these proposals and gave instructions on the development of human capital in the field of online services and high technologies. The Ministry of Digital Development has been instructed to make a presentation in the relevant UN Department (UNDESA) on the measures taken by Uzbekistan and the results achieved to improve Uzbekistan's position in the ranking.
