The capabilities of a modern enterprise are expanding

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the limited liability company "Asia Metal Prof" in the city of Samarkand.

In 2018-2022, projects worth $ 110 million were implemented at this large plant together with Chinese partners, including with the attraction of $ 33 million of foreign direct investment.

So, in December 2018, the production of galvanized and polymerized metal sheets began, at the second stage, which began in 2021, the production of metal pipes and profiles in 2021 was established. Since February 2022, hot-rolled metal sheets and construction profiles have also been produced.

These products can not only replace imports, but also be in demand on the foreign market. In particular, last year the company exported goods worth $ 63 million. This figure is expected to be even higher this year. Currently, 520 people work here.

The Head of State visited the construction site of the fourth stage of the project - an enterprise for the production of fittings. It will be able to cast 390 thousand tons of rebar per year and create 150 new jobs.

In general, it is planned to implement five more projects in 2023-2025. A total of 621 million US dollars will be invested in them, as a result, there will be capacities for the production of 1.7 million tons of metal products and 10 million square meters of glass. 930 new jobs will be created.

The President stressed the need to increase export competitiveness through localization and cost reduction.
