The President of Uzbekistan paid tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev

Upon arrival in Baku, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Alley of Honor – the resting place of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev. 

Heydar Aliyev has exceptional merits in building and strengthening independent Azerbaijan. His name is associated with the era of the beginning of the dynamic development of the country and the strengthening of its authority in the international arena.

Heydar Aliyev is well known in our country, who has always attached special importance to deepening friendly relations with the fraternal Uzbek people. His centenary was widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. Postage stamps were issued, various cultural, educational and scientific events were actively held.

A street with a square and a commemorative bas-relief named after the National leader of the Azerbaijani people has been opened in Tashkent.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the grave of the great statesman and politician Heydar Aliyev, paying tribute to his memory.
