The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Budapest.

Issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and expansion of multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

The continued intensive contacts and exchanges within the framework of the implementation of the agreements at the highest level were noted with satisfaction.

There is a noticeable increase in the indicators of mutual trade turnover. The Preferential Trade Agreement entered into force on July 1 of this year. The number of joint ventures exceeded 2.5 thousand.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey welcomed the plans of the leading companies of the two countries to implement investment projects in priority sectors of the economy.

The schedule of bilateral and multilateral events was considered, including the preparation of the next meeting of the joint Strategic Cooperation Council, the upcoming summits of the Organization of Turkic States and the Organization of Economic Cooperation this year.
