The President of Uzbekistan noted great opportunities for expanding business partnership with Hungary

On August 20, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Board of the leading European bank OTP, Sandor Chanyi, as part of the program of his stay in Budapest.

The Head of our state noted with particular satisfaction the successful implementation of the first major project of business cooperation with Hungary - the entry of OTP Bank into the Uzbek market.

It was emphasized that the successful deal on the privatization of Mortgage Bank was an important signal and increased interest in our country from foreign investors.

Issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of the banking and financial sector of Uzbekistan, including improving the quality of services, introducing innovative and affordable products, primarily for business, were discussed at the meeting.

The importance of the early launch of effective financial instruments to support and promote joint projects, including in the field of industrial cooperation, agriculture and other priority sectors, was noted.

The head of the bank, Sandor Chanyi, sincerely thanked the leader of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for expanding the investment activities of Hungarian companies.
