A thousand women are employed at the textile enterprise in Romitan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the WBM Romitex enterprise in the Romitan district.

The company has a huge potential. The cost of the project is more than $ 93 million. The territory of the complex is 20 hectares, including 7 hectares of production areas. Advanced equipment from Turkey and Germany has been installed. Capacities for the production of 25 thousand tons of yarn per year and 1 thousand jobs have been created.

- I am glad that such an enterprise appeared in the conditions of Romitan. The state has helped with infrastructure, means, opportunities. The most important result is that a thousand of our women got jobs," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

A great help for such enterprises was the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On measures to support the activities of cotton and textile clusters, radical reform of the textile and clothing and knitting industry, as well as further increase the export potential of the sphere" dated January 10 of this year. In particular, the provision of working capital through revolving lending ensured the stability of production.

At the second stage of the project, it is planned to launch the production of finished fabric. Most importantly, thanks to this, about 3 thousand jobs will appear in rural areas. 

The Head of State gave instructions on improving the quality and expanding the range of products, establishing exports.
